Thank you for your interest in Theater of the Sea and our animal interactive programs. Special programs are offered daily and include admission to the dolphin, sea lion, and parrot shows., guided marine life tour, lagoon-side beach, and a bottomless boat ride. Swim programs take place in a 10 to 15 feet deep natural salt-water lagoon.

Feed and touch gentle rays in shallow water on a sandy beach. Snorkel with the rays and a variety of tropical fish in a natural lagoon setting. | Get up close and personal with a dolphin or sea lion while interacting with and requesting behaviors from them from out of the water. | Interact with a dolphin while standing in 3 to 4 feet of water and requesting behaviors such as cradles and kisses. | Interact with a dolphin while requesting behaviors such as dorsal tows, hugs, and while snorkeling with them around the lagoon. | Interact with

AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be age 3 or older to participate in the Wade with the Dolphin.
Must be age 5 or older to participate in all other programs.
A parent or appointed guardian must participate in the program with any child age 7 and younger.
Minors under 18 years of age:
Liability waivers must be signed by a parent or appointed guardian prior to participation.
Any appointed guardian must provide notarized documentation of guardianship.
We can provide a form upon request.
RESTRICTIONS
Must not assist with a marine mammal rescue within 48 hours of participation
to avoid disease transmission to our animals
Must not be pregnant if participating in the Swim with the Dolphin, Swim
with the Sea lion, and Wade with the Dolphin programs
Must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Must be capable of and willing to participate and should be a competent
swimmer for swim programs...trainers oversee interactions from out of the
water and cannot personally attend to individuals
Must wear only approved insect repellent and sunscreen during the program:
Cactus Juice insect repellent; Panama Jack Guide & Outfitters Sunscreen
(available in our gift shop)
Should understand English or have a translator
Please inform the reservationist of any medical conditions that could effect your participation for additional information.
The animals live in natural ocean water not a chlorinated pool - keep this in mind if you take medication that or have a condition which may suppress immune function.
Theater of the Sea is home to a colony of abandoned cats. If you have aversions or allergies, please take appropriate measures.
For dolphin swims, we cannot guarantee that everyone in a party will be in the same pool; group size varies based on animal housing.
Admission to dolphin, sea lion, and parrot shows, guided marine life tour, lagoon-side beach, and bottomless boat ride.
Allow 2.5 hours before or after your program to see the shows.
Ticket counter opens at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time daily except on Christmas when it opens at 10:30 a.m.
Snorkel gear for swim programs:
Fins are required.
Masks and snorkels are optional.
Life jackets can be issued if needed.
Wetsuits cab be rented if desired.
Changing rooms, outdoor showers, and lockers.
Locks can be rented for a $5.00 refundable deposit.
Soda machines and a snack bar/grill are available on the grounds.
Grill hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
BRING YOUR OWN:
Swimming attire, towel, wet suit (if desired). Theater of the Sea rents wetsuits.
Water shoes can be worn for the dolphin wade and if desired, for parts of the sea lion and ray swims instead of fins, but we do not provide these so bring your own.
OBSERVERS:
Park admission plus $2.00 includes shows and allows observers to accompany their party to the orientation and animal swims/sessions.
RESERVATIONS:
Reservations are accepted by phone or in person only, not by fax or email, and are recommended well in advance.
Office and reservation hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

VISA, MasterCard, or money order is required to hold a reservation; personal checks are not accepted.
Money orders must be received within 2 weeks of making a reservation; reservations must be made prior to sending a money order.
DISCOUNTS:
Coupons are for general admission and observers only, not special programs.
Combined special programs for the same individual receive $15.00 off the second program and $10.00 off the third.
Full payment is due before the beginning of the first program to qualify for the discount.
CANCELLATION and REFUNDS:
Program cost is refundable only if the program is cancelled at least 7 days prior to the date of scheduled participation.
Participants must be here on time or we will attempt to sell their spot.
Programs are not cancelled due to cold or inclement weather. Participants must be here for trainers to determine cancellation or postponement due to lightning.
Animal participation is optional and although rare, sometimes an animal may choose not to do a session. In this situation, the participant will be accommodated in some way.
Refunds will NOT be issued for patrons who are too cold, scared of animals or the water, change their mind, or otherwise choose not to participate.
